SIGINT System Calibration/Optimization

Calibration of large scale and small tactical collection systems (with passive, active, and frequency translating components) for path delay, frequency offsets and precision antenna coordinates.  Utilizing state-of-the-art time based transmission techniques and correlation analysis to determine delays through complex RF systems at the nanosecond level and frequency offsets at the mHz level. Results include identification of errors in timecode application, troubleshooting frequency offsets caused by mischaracteriztion of LO frequency, creation of path delay tables.  Techniques often transitioned to customer for optimizing and/or troubleshooting system performance in ops.

System Engineering/Program Management

ESR provides leadership and system engineering support to multi-company programs by bridging the gap between skill sets, communicating and verifying customer needs with contractors, or forming a contractor team and completing a program from start to finish.  Examples include the installation and checkout of a new 13 meter ground terminal, component identification and checkout for a tactical collection system, integration of an inertial navigation system into an existing collection system, analyzing GPS data to determine cause of loss of fidelity, and designing/fielding/operating a new measurement system for cm level ranging system.
